1. Chromatic Scale - start with first finger, fith fret, top string (Key of A) - keep it smooth, downward picking. 2. Major scale - start with second finger, fifth fret, top string (also Key of A) 3. Brown Eyed Girl: Modify your G (see video). Strumming pattern: Down, down, up, up, down - repeat. Goes in the same rhythm as the melody line in the song. When you switch to the C, remember - that's the IV, and the D is the V. (You use Roman numerals to show the intervals on these chord switches). The G is the root, or the I.
